Overview

On-skin interfaces could provide seamless interaction compared to other wearable devices. However, the novel form factor and interaction may raise concerns for public wear.

Hence, this research conducted a 200 person cross-cultural American-Taiwanese online survey to investigate the third person perceptions of a user’s interactions with an on-skin touch sensor and examine cross-cultural attitudes towards device usage.

The survey results and analysis provide insights into the design of on-skin interfaces for public use in broad dimensions such as culture-, gender-, and device-wise implications.

My Role

I participated in the discussion of the survey design. Afterwards, I led another researcher to conduct an online survey and perform quantitative analysis.
